Cette fois, c’est d’un film dont j’ai envie de vous parler.
Un film coup de coeur parmi les dernières sorties : Spotlight de Thom Mc Carthy.
Synopsis :
Adapté de faits réels, Spotlight retrace la fascinante enquête du Boston Globe – couronnée par le prix Pulitzer – qui a mis à jour un scandale sans précédent au sein de l’Eglise Catholique. Une équipe de journalistes d’investigation, baptisée Spotlight, a enquêté pendant 12 mois sur des suspicions d’abus sexuels au sein d’une des institutions les plus anciennes et les plus respectées au monde. L’enquête révèlera que L’Eglise Catholique a protégé pendant des décennies les personnalités religieuses, juridiques et politiques les plus en vue de Boston, et déclenchera par la suite une vague de révélations dans le monde entier. Tom Mac Carthy nous transporte au coeur de l’enquête, une enquête de fond menée par des journalistes passionnés et intègres du Boston Globe. Le film est assez classique dans sa réalisation, dans son ambiance mais il a selon moi 2 atouts de taille : son rythme et son casting. Durant tout le film, je ne me suis jamais ennuyée, les révélations relancent l’enquête tout au long du film et jusqu’à la fin, on réalise peu à peu  l’ampleur du propos, de ce qu’il se passe et de la manière dont ce scandale a été étouffé.
Le casting :
Michael Keaton, toujours dans l’excellence. Une seule chose me gêne chez lui c’est la ressemblance avec Julien Lepers ! Si je vous promets ! Cela m’a gênée durant le film!
Mark Ruffalo que j’ai trouvé génial, passionné, passionnant, dynamique.

Rachel Mc Adams qui apporte une touche de douceur féminine au casting un peu musclé.
Liev Schreiber, que je n’avais pas reconnu avec la barbe !
Surtout restez jusqu’au générique de fin qui donne froid dans le dos.
Ce film m’a rappelé un autre film américain vu il y a pas mal d’années, en 2003 : La vie de David Gale. Un film à propos de la peine de mort aux Etats-Unis. Donc pas du tout le même thème mais un sujet de société également, traité d’un point de vue journalistique aussi. J’avais été marquée par ce film comme j’ai été marquée aussi par Spotlight.
J’aime ces films retraçant des affaires réelles ou bien ancrés dans la réalité.  Ce genre de film intense, sur des sujets délicats et qui ne laissent personne indifférent.

    Oui, tout pareil (j’en ai fait un article aussi); super film!
    La ressemblance avec Julien Lepers m’a bien faite rire; et moi j’ai trouvé Mark Ruffalo un peu grimaçant, mais c’était probablement sa façon d’exprimer beaucoup d’émotions pour lui

    Nous l’avons vu le week end dernier , en effet une enquête passionnante qui fait écho avec ce qui se passe à Lyon avec les scouts et l’église…
