Dents jaunes, cheveux ternes, teint gris, odeur de tabac froid qui persiste sur la peau… Le tabac a des effets visibles et désagréables dont les fumeurs aimeraient se débarrasser. Il existe désormais une solution saine, efficace et déculpabilisante pour réduire l’impact du tabac sur l’apparence, ainsi que pour atténuer l’envie de fumer : Effet & Envie de Modjo, la première gamme de cosmétiques dédiée aux fumeurs, ex-fumeurs et vapoteurs.

Personnellement, j’ai arrêté de fumer depuis… à peu près 20 ans. Donc, ces inconvénients je les ai connus. Créée par la pharmacienne Caroline Dekermandjian, Modjo est une marque française qui propose les seuls produits cosmétiques sur le marché permettant à la fois de pallier les effets visibles de la cigarette tout en contribuant à diminuer l’envie de fumer. Ses crèmes et dentifrices sont formulées à base d’une synergie unique d’huiles essentielles issues de l’agriculture biologique. Ils utilisent notamment les vertus de l’huile essentielle d’Angélique, qui permet de lutter contre les addictions aux drogues douces, dont celle au tabac.

Commençons par le commencement…

Modjo propose un test en ligne qui aide les internautes à choisir des produits adaptés à leur situation ou à celle d’un proche. En quelques clics, les fumeurs peuvent découvrir leur degré d’addiction et les cosmétiques adaptés pour eux à utiliser en répondant au questionnaire. Le test dédié aux non-fumeurs leur permet de savoir quels produits offrir à leurs proches pour les accompagner dans l’arrêt du tabac.

La crème visage nuit – 30 ml.

Cette crème de nuit bio illumine, hydrate et apaise les peaux qui subissent l’oxydation liée au tabac. Grâce à sa texture fondante et sa composition à base d’huiles d’onagre, de jojoba et d’abricot, elle pénètre sans effort et procure une sensation de confort qui limite les tiraillements. Utilisée  à long terme, elle améliore l’apparence de la peau.

Modjo creme visage nuit cosmétiques pour fumeurs

Le spray corporel – 50 ml.

Ce spray corporel enrichi en huile essentielle de poivre noir aide à éliminer les odeurs de tabac froid tout en ayant un effet apaisant sur la peau. Il est agréable à appliquer grâce à sa texture de brume fraiche et généreuse, et sent bon les parfums naturels des huiles de marjolaine, citron, vétiver et sapin baumier.

Le dentifrice – 100 ml

Le dentifrice est le best-seller de Modjo. Testé par un laboratoire indépendant sur un échantillon de fumeurs, il a permis au tiers des participant·es de gagner jusqu’à 3 teintes de blanc en 28 jours. Il nettoie tout en douceur, renforce les gencives et assainit, laissant une agréable sensation de confort et de propreté.

Caroline Dekermandjian, la fondatrice de Modjo, a 28 ans et a grandi près de Lyon. Elle a étudié la pharmacie à l’université Claude Bernard, puis a complété sa formation en passant une année à Polytechnique-HEC Entrepreneur pour apprendre l’entrepreneuriat. Elle préparera bientôt sa thèse en pharmacie. C’est pendant ses études de pharmacie que Caroline commence à fumer. Rapidement, elle constate les effets nocifs de la cigarette, « que ce soit sur mes dents qui ont jauni, mon teint qui a terni (on appelle cela le teint gris du fumeur) ou mes cheveux qui sentaient cette odeur de tabac froid », explique-t-elle.

La jeune femme décide de mettre à profit ses connaissances en pharmacologie pour créer, à l’aide de la spécialiste en aromathérapie renommée Dr Françoise Couic Marinier, une gamme de soins cosmétiques qui lutterait à la fois contre les effets visibles du tabac mais atténuerait aussi l’envie de fumer grâce à l’huile essentielle d’angélique.

Je suis certaine que vous la connaissez bien cette odeur de tabac froid. J’ai des souvenirs lointains de personnes dans ma famille, très gros fumeurs. Entrer chez eux était problématique, tout était imprégné de cette odeur et forcément, nous en ressortions en sentant nous-même le tabac froid, sans avoir fumer. Pourtant, j’étais fumeuse moi-même (à petite échelle) mais ce souvenir olfactif est resté gravé.
